Thibodeaux Bequest

Rarely do two people impact as many lives as will be impacted by the Dr. Ben and Clare Roy Thibodeaux planned gift to UL. An $8 million bequest in their will represents the largest-ever private gift to the University.

The Thibodeauxs' bequest established an endowment that will forever provide scholarship assistance for students who attend UL.

Each year, approximately 50 entering freshmen from Acadiana will be awarded a 4-year scholarship (each valued at $8,000) from the Dr. Ben & Clare Roy Thibodeaux Endowed Scholarship Fund.

The Thibodeauxs heartily believed in helping students achieve their dream of receiving a college education. Their bequest will allow many students' dreams to come true.
