Donor Recognition

Donor Recognition

The University greatly values its donors and offers several donor recognition programs. Endowment level donors are invited to the University Foundation's annual Distinguished Donor Reception. Planned gift donors are honored and recognized through the Louisiana Heritage Society. And, athletic donors are recognized through the Ragin' Cajun Club.

DISTINGUISHED DONOR RECEPTION

Each year endowment level donors ($10,000 and above) to the University are invited to participate in a Distinguished Donor Reception hosted by the UL Lafayette Foundation. Donors at the $50,000 endowment level are recognized and presented with a replica of a plaque that will hang, in recognition of their gift, in Martin Hall (the University's main administration building).

For information about the Distinguished Donor Reception, please call Julie Falgout, Executive Director of the UL Lafayette Foundation, at (337) 482-0700 or send her an e-mail message.

LOUISIANA HERITAGE SOCIETY™

The Louisiana Heritage Society™ was established at UL Lafayette in 1997 to honor and recognize all alumni and friends who establish a planned gift of $10,000 or more for the future support of the University. The Louisiana Heritage Society™ exemplifies the importance of charitable bequests and other planned gifts, and through this society the University can thank and recognize alumni and friends who create legacy gifts and lasting memorials.

Please see the Planned Giving section of the website for the types of gifts that enable donors to become members of the Louisiana Heritage Society™. For more information about the Louisiana Heritage Society™ please contact David Comeaux, Director of Planned Giving, by calling (337) 482-0922 or by sending him an e-mail message.

All persons who establish a planned gift for UL are eligible for induction into the Louisiana Heritage Society. We encourage individuals who have made a planned gift for UL, as well as professional advisors who have clients that have made a planned gift for UL, to contact the Office of Development for more information about UL's heritage society.
