Other Types of Gifts

Gifts-in-Kind

Gifts-in-kind are donated tangible and intangible assets and property. Examples include real estate, artwork, limited partnership interest, equipment, books, inventory, royalty or copyright interests, notes and mortgages, and other physical assets that represent value to the University.

Corporate matching gifts

Many donors can have their gifts to UL matched through their employer's Corporate Matching Gift program. More than 1,000 companies throughout the country have a matching gift program that matches their employees' gifts to educational institutions.

Most companies will match an employee's gift on a 1-to-1 basis, but some companies provide a 2-to-1 match and a few provide a 3-to-1 match.

Some companies will even match gifts made by retired employees, spouses of active or retired employees, widows or widowers of retired employees, and non-employee directors of the company. Check with your company's human resources department to see if your gift to UL can be matched, or click on the Matching Gift link below.
